My Life Now

I wonder if anyone still reads my blog. I haven't update it since last year August and many things have happen to me since then.
My life has went through many ups and downs during these few months and I would say mostly downs. Had a lot of hurts and confusion and also frustration and anxiety. They are a weird combination i know but thats exactly how I've been feeling since i got back to Singapore 6 mths before. During this 6 months, I've changed 3 jobs and met different people and learn different things along the way. I'm glad that during my most difficult times, I had many friends with me but what is the most important thing is, God is with me every single moment of my life. I thank God that He has carried me through every difficulties and through every season of my life. He can heal pains and wounds that no one else will ever be able to do. On this Good Friday, I've being reminded of how much God love me to send His Son, Jesus Christ to die for me. Why would anyone do such a thing for me? Thank you Jesus, theres no way for me to comprehen that love you have for me. I'm just going to accept this love and spread your love to others too. Life is an amazing journey, and for those who doesn't follow the light of Jesus, they are just walking into a land of darkness and death.

Hi everyone.. miss me? =p i realise that i stopped blogging for 4 months, not that i wanna stop blogging but i'm juz so lazy to sit down to type anything.. sorry.. heee.. but i'm sure most of you know what is happening to me anyway.. as most of you know, i'm now in brissy visiting dennis. I finished my exams in June, then i went to melbourne, visited simon & cindy and then to brisbane. Melbourne is really crowded and congested, a lot of people and a lot of traffic.. while brissy is similar to perth but slightly more people. I also had the opportunity to go to Gold Coast and recently to Sunshine Coast to celebrate my birthday.. both have wonderful beaches and scenery. I will be going back to Singapore on the 26th Aug and had 4 interviews scheduled on 28th Aug, all in advertising.. i need as much prayers as i can get.. so all my brothers and sisters, pls keep me in prayers okiess.. thanks so much..

I spent my last 2 months in Perth going out a lot and spending almost everyday with my lovely cell group. We went for a retreat to Margaret River where we did basically nothing for the whole 3 days 2 nites.. had BBQ and watched sunset.. it was a lovely time. will post some photos up later. wanna take this chance to tell u guys what a wonderful time i had with all of you.. the times we spent in cell gp, at margaret river, watching movies, world cup or simply juz going for coffee were such great memories and i'm glad that we are still in touch and talking often even when i already left Perth.. =) do continue to keep in touch k..

as for now, I'm spending my last week in brisbane, spending as much time as i can with dennis and enjoying my last bit of Aussie air..

tried to use a corn plaster on my hand and had an infection.. haiz.. it got so bad that my hand now swell up and is very painful.. i can't even hold chopsticks or a pen properly without feeling pain.. bought aspirin and antiseptic cream yesterday.. hope that they help to bring the swelling down.. =( I'm so sad.. why do i keep hurting myself??

my granny is better now

she is home now and recovering =*).. and the last time i spoke to her, she told me she can kill a tiger.. hehe.. she doesn't want me to worry but i know how weak she is now.. but i know my God is looking after her, she is in good hands..
and to all my friends who show their concern.. thanks so much.. appreciate u guys checking up on me and praying for her.. was feeling depressed recently becoz i was so worried for my granny.. and I had so much things to do recently.. choir practices, cell gp, working, assignments, i'm seriously deprived of sleep.. and the weather definately doesn't help.. i had heat rash on my hands which move up to my elbows today.. so itcy and painful.. and as usual, i'm getting cuts and burns during work.. haiz... can feel sore throat and all the syptoms of sickness coming.. but to do my part to make myself healthier, i went jogging with gabriel this week.. hehe.. gotta make it a habit to jog at least twice a week.. i hope gabs dun play me out.. coz i wont have the determination to jog alone.. =p

my granny is sick

this is the kind of moment i wish i'm back in spore.. i wanna visit my granny =( im so worried abt her.. when i see her during CNY last month, she look so weak, so fragile.. my heart ache as i look at her.. when i hug her, i don't want to let go.. when i visit her juz before i leave for perth, she ask me not to leave so early.. my heart juz goes out to her.. she is someone i will always have a soft spot for.. i love u granny.. pls get well soon.. she went in and out of hospital a few times recently.. God, pls heal her and take away all her pain..

In Perth

been back at perth for abt 1 week now.. for the past few days was very busy with Orientation and bringing the freshies around.. never known its so fun to be an OGL.. going for ice cream, bubble tea and something of the sort every nite.. i even went crabbing at Mandurah last nite, caught over 20 crabs.. heee.. will be eating them tmr.. yum yum.. having pot bless at Gabs place fri nite, going for Catamaran sailing plus BBQ on sat and then BBQ again on sun at Bran & Jill's new house for housewarming.. so excited for the sailing on sat.. never did sailing before.. hope i dun fall into the water becoz first of all i cant swim well and heard theres lotsa jelly fish in the water.. mahahahahaha... everything is good.. glad i came back early this time round and relax before school starts next week, and choir practice will resume next week too.. and not to mention working at Maccas.. heee.. ;)

Miss Saigon

went to Vietnam to celebrate our 5th anniversary last week.. i was juz counting and i realise that this trip is the 8th trip i've been with dennis overseas.. haha.. kinda weird time juz seems to pass so fast.. its an amazing holiday and though the weather is terribly hot, its a refreshing change from the rainy weather in spore few weeks ago..
gone everywhere on scooter and except tat we gotta breathe in all the fumes, its really exciting.. the roads in vietnam absolutely have no system at all.. cars and motobikes can turn when they wan to and they can even cross to the other side of the lanes.. its really scary on the first day when i'm on the scooter becoz i felt like the cars and other scooters all seem to be rushing at me.. but of cos everyone seem to have a mutual understanding of each other's movements. another challenge for us is to cross the roads coz u can never wait till the roads are clear before u can cross.. u juz have to look straight and cross without bothering abt the cars, they will juz avoid u.. except for being in Ho Chi Minh, we also went up to dalat which is on a mountain for 3 days 2 nites.. its a cooling place, a lil like genting, but the scenery is amazing.. there are lovely mountains and beautiful waterfalls.. the vietnamese call it a city of love.. hee.. the coffee at dalat is fabulous.. such strong and rich aroma makes me stay up all nite.. *bleah*
this leads to the food.. vietnamese food is very healthy.. they include lotsa vegetables and they have lotsa soup base food.. the most famous being the beef noodles.. *yummmmmy*

one of the best thing on this trip is i'm able to meet up with one of my goody brother, Matt.. ahhh.. Matt, i miss u so much.. its great meeting up with u and thanks for being such a lovely host.. I had an amazing time at club saigon saigon btw.. ;)

gonna post up the photos once CNY is over and i can tear myself away from the new year goodies long enough to transfer the photos to my com.. =p .. hee..
oh yah, forget the SHOPPING!!! its not as good as faithful bangkok but i manage to get a few nice bags but all in all.. i really enjoyed myself and thanks darling for this amazing anniversary gift =D *muacks*

today is my 5th Year Anniversary with dennis!! I would say this is a blissful 5 years and i truly feel blessed to have dennis.. Dennis is a wonderful person, someone who is always there for me no matter what, someone who will stand by me when I'm down, someone who will forgive me even when i've been unreasonable and someone who truly loves me for who i am. and the most important thing is he is someone who loves God as much as i do..
thank you darling, you have been great.. and i wanna tell u i love you.. 5 years ago, now and i believe many more years to come.. I thank God for blessing me with this man and guiding our relationship thru these years.. Im so happy and so contented (",)

Teng's wedding

went for a dear friend's wedding today.. woke up at 5am in the morning to get ready to go to Teng's house to be her "jie-mei" this is the first time i am a "jie-mei".. quite fun.. hee.. all the "jie-meis" made so much noise and kick a big fuss before letting chunfa get his bride.. but everything is in good fun.. after that we proceed to Breakthrough Missions.. had a thanksgiving service there.. this wedding really touched my heart.. i felt tears welling up in my eyes so many times and if my makeup isn't all waterproof, i think i would have look like a ghost at the end of the day..
at Breakthrough, we sang this chinese song which talks abt knowing God is our greatest blessings.. this song really really touch my heart.. i can feel God speaking to me.. recently i have been feeling pretty down.. abt many things.. i want to find a friend to listen to me but i cant get hold of many of them.. everyone is pretty busy at this time.. studying and working.. all have things on their hands which makes me feel even worse.. i had been busy too.. doing this part time work which pretty much end abt 930pm everyday.. so i find myself going home everyday and by the time im home, everyone needs to go to bed already as they have work the next day.. but today, when we had the thanksgiving service at breakthrough mission, i felt God touch my heart and telling me that he is always there for me.. though ppl cannot always be there.. but He will never desert me.. trying to fight my tears back as we sang that song.. i looked up and saw the groom crying too.. and i look at cherine beside me, i can see her fighting back tears too.. teng.. your wedding has blessed more ppl than u can ever imagine..
and i feel like i am going to burst with joy for you when i see you and chunfa give your testimony.. at the church wedding, my eyes were never dry.. they are not sad tears but tears of joy for you and also am so overwelmed by God's blessing and wonderful works in your life.. I felt so so so happy to be there to share your joy and also to witness your wonderful moment.. God is so good. just when im going to drift away, He never fails to pull me back..

Jesus, i love you.. i really really love you.. pls don't ever let me drift.. I want to be forever in your kingdom.. and teng, with God in the centre of your marriage, theres nothing u cannot overcome thru prayers.. Prayers are powerful and in faith, you will have a loving and ever lasting marriage.. I love you gal.. and so very happy for you..

A Melt in your mouth Christmas

I started working at causeway point for a M & M promotion since last fri.. it was really quite an experience for me.. I had done numerous temp jobs in offices.. more than i can ever count but this is the 1st time i've worked temp in a shopping mall and juz standing around waiting for kids to sit on a so called sleigh.. wat I need to do is juz sell tickets, bring in the kids and make sure they are nicely seated and also take turn to drive the sheigh round and round a small area.. the job itself is pretty boring.. but the people there made all the difference.. at every one time, we have 7 staff working and its so terribly over-staffed that most of the time we juz sit around, cracking jokes and entertaining each other.. the "uncles" there.. i call them uncles but we are abt the same age.. maybe slightly younger than me.. hahaha.. anyway those uncles like to make fun of me and give me nicknames.. i dunno wats with me that everywhere i go, i will get nicknames and nobody will call my name anymore.. -_-"

on a sadder note.. i've been thinking abt a friend recently and some of the things he tell me.. i felt sad that this friend juz seem to disappear suddenly.. all the talk abt friendship and caring for each other.. initially i felt sad that this friend seem to be "gone" and i tried to call him.. but later i realise that he probably don't want me to contact him.. ppl have their own lives to lead u know.. stupid sherlyn.. anyway, i dun feel so sad now, juz disappointed..
I was reminded of a blog post i posted few mths ago abt my friends.. how every single one of them is so precious to me and very greatly treasured.. anyway, ppl... i'm always here for you guys.. if u ever need a listening ear and helping hand.. do give me a call.. u know where to find me (",)

Lifeworks's annual church camp

juz came back from our annual youth camp today.. even though its unlike any other camps we used to have becoz we did not have enough campers this year.. but still we had a lot of fun.. except for giving the mosquitos a big feast, we managed to bond together with our usual games, worship, workshop, nitewalk tradition and talking rubbish session.. we did not plan the usual hectic camp schedule, but its a good relaxing one which everyone come together and draw close to God..
we had a china friend in our camp this year who juz cant stop talking and singing and cracking everyone up with his very cheena accent.. i thank God for him in our midst as he liven everyone up with his enthusiasm and zeal...
one interesting thing we did this year is the Pilgrim's Progress.. one part of this "game" is that we gotta all walk around Sentosa in white robes and carrying shields and with Gavin carrying a big cross, i reckon we look like the cult KKK.. everyone is staring at us.. but apparently we overheard some ppl wispering behind our backs that we are going for baptism coz we are near the beach.. hey hey ppl, christians dont go around carrying a big cross when they go for baptism, they are juz playing games =p
but all fun is over now, dunno is it becoz of my flu and sore throat or is it simply im getting old, my body seems to be aching badly from all the walking around and i get tired so easily.. aaahhhh... i cant match the pace of the young ones anymore man.. talking abt old.. was getting stressed up during Pastor Lim's workshop on timeline or is it lifeline?.. he told us to draw a timeline for ourselves on when we wanna die and when we wanna get married and give birth and also reach our life goal.. gosh.. i realise i dont have much time left.. i left the workshop feeling "depressed" -_-"
also celebrated my dear lil brother, Joel's bdae at the camp.. this silly boy was so upset when i bought him a lil bun.. dino blew the candle for him when we finish singing birthday song.. and also everyone wanna a bite of his miserable birthday bun.. hehe.. but we had a much better birthday cake waiting for him later that day... silly boy, we all love you.. =@

recently been thinking.. life is indeed so fragile.. and if it is so fragile, why are people still thinking of ending their lives or worrying abt things that are not important?
why are many people still spending their time hurting other people when u only have very lil time left to love? why is it that some people juz cant understand the importance of being a good samaritan? why are some people still so selfish? which leads me to thinking.. why are friendships so fragile too? why do good friends still doubt each other or are skeptical abt one another? which also leads to fragile marriages.. why is it that two people who love each other so much to begin with and vow before God to be faithful to each other will end up in divorce? why why why.. so many whys.. why is it i can't understand any of these? why is it i trust people so much? why is it that everyone seems to know everything that i don't? why is my mind like a blank? why am i even thinking of silly things like this?
i know these are incoherent thinkings on my part.. but oh well... i don't even know what i'm talking abt at all..

I'm sick

had a terrible time last wed.. havent been this sick for a long time.. after a sumptuous meal of pasta, fresh oysters and chilli mussels prepared by my dear housemate wrissy last tue, i started studying through the nite..and shivering throughout my 2 hrs nap, i went to work at 7am in the morning.. spent almost 2 hours at maccas running to the toilet throwing up and trying to smile at the customers thru my pain.. i went home feeling weak in my knees. after finally reached home after a long wait for the bus, i collapsed on the floor in my room, not able to move for an hour, then thru my throbbing headache, i made myself shower and then popping a few pills then straight to bed.. slept for a straight 10 hours, only waking up juz to go to the toilet again.. but throughout the sleep, i had many phonecalls. i thank God for my 4 besty friends here.. rina, peiling, jon & julian, who constantly called me juz to check on me. making sure that im alrite and whether im hungry and if i need to see the doctor.. heee.. in my drowsi-ness, i still remembered your phonecalls u guys.. esp thanks to rina & peiling offering to cook porridge for me and jon buying porridge for me in the evening and also rina's homemade barley.. ooh.. not forgetting wrissy who came to my room to check on me during the day too.. thanks thanks, though i seem goggy, but i still remembered.. =) i felt so loved =p hahaa..
but im so disappointed that i couldnt join the gang at Hogs Breath when rina's bf came over on tue.. was looking forward to sink my teeth into that steak for a month.. booo hooooo.. wait for me.. u cow =p

our vending machine ordeal

last thursday nite i went to the school lab to study with julian, jon & peiling. during a break, me & peiling decided to go to the school vending machine to buy ice-cream. 2 of us, so cold and not really warmly dressed went out and thought we will make it a quick one.. lil did we expect the vending machine to cheat us of our money.. actually we were pretty silly.. the ice-cream cost $2.60 and after putting in the first $1 coin, we knew that the machine seem faulty, but peiling said maybe we need to put in the full amt before the machine recognise the money.. hahahaha.. so stupidly we put in the full $2.60 and then realise tat a lot of coins were stuck in the machine.. so trying our luck, we found a twig nearby and try to push the coins in.. but to no avail. so thinking the security might have the keys to open the mahcine, we tried to get him to help.. but when he reach there, he told us that theres nothing he can do coz the vending machine belongs to an outside company.. but he can try to help us to get the coins out.. he asked us to wait while he go look for a metal wire. after he left for awhile, we decided that actually we didnt want the money back anymore, but din wanna juz walk off coz hes so nice to try to help us.. so we waited in the cold for like 20 mins.. during the whole time, we juz stand there looking at the machine.. 2 guys, looking drunk, came over and try to be friendly.. we can smell the alcohol in their breaths and didnt dare to talk to them.. but very soon they realise we were actually frightened of them and backed off.. heeee.. after a while the security guard came back with a metal wire and try to dig the coins out.. he looked so serious tat we didnt dare tell him actually its alrite, we dun need the money anymore.. so he dig and dig.. and 3 other security ppl came over and join in the fun.. we juz stand there and chatted.. heee.. its really quite an experience.. in the end, he did manage to dig the coins out and also push the rest in.. heeeee.. we didnt buy the ice cream in the end, coz we felt too cold, and gotten coffee instead.. after almost an hour, we went back to the lab.. and the 2 guys were still busy studying and didnt even realise that the 2 of us were gone for so long. ='( boo hoo hooo..

had my most dreaded mass com 2 (also know as globalisation and media technology) test on wed at the most unearthly time. 830am!!!!!!!! sheesh.. who goes for class at 830am, tell me.. and pls dun nod your head.. i know none of you ever go.. rite rite RITE.. dun bluff..

well, the test was tough.. but our tutor admitted tat its tough too.. hopefully, he will be more lenient when he marks it. -_-'

after the test, rina and me decided to give ourselves a break and went for KTV.. juz the 2 of us, we sang for 2 hours non-stop, didnt even have time to stop to drink our bubble tea and eat the chocolates we brought along.. even with no one fighting with us for the mike, we still went home very unsatisfied.. we want more.. More..MORE....

hi guys, juz realised tat i havent blog for 3 weeks, u must be wondering where i disappeared to.. had been out quite often for the past few weeks, found myself super deprived of sleep but still super energised. I find strength in God.. :)

recently i was thinking of all my friends, and i thought who consitituted a good friend..
According to www.yourdictionary.com, a friend is

and the Oxford Dictionary says that a friend is
1 a person with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically one exclusive of sexual or family relations.
2 a familiar or helpful thing

i was thinking i like this definition the best.. a friend is a person with whom one has a bond of mutual affection.. isnt it so true? in my life, so many people cross my path, but how many actually stayed and remain as a friend.. so i was thinking abt it for the past 2 days and thinking thru all the friends i have in my life.. i juz wanna thank you guys for being there all these years for me..

dennis: thanks for always being there.. even when we don't talk often, i know you are there..

marilyn: my best friend of 15 years, though we are always separated by distance, we are still so close and so tightly bonded. its hard to explain wat i shared with u, but juz tat we understand each other so well, no words is ever really needed. i love you gal..

serina: gal, thanks for always being there, appreciate your phone calls and email when im in perth, i know theres someone who thinks of me :)

jann & moon: my precious colleagues who never fail to make me laugh, working with u gals for 3 years is one of my best time.. people who accept my silliness and accept me for who i am..

mel: this lovely and bubbly gal is such a special friend.. always lifting up my spirits when i see her cute laughter.

my poly classmates: so many of you to mention, but i juz love every single one of you.. the lovely surprise birthday cake for me in bangkok is so super sweet, and juz one year in poly is enough to make us close friends for life..

my secondary classmates: u guys are juz great, friendship going strong thru these years.. though everyone is so busy, still making time for coffee in our usual hangout in cck.. heee

dominic: u are an older brother that i always wanted, accepting me in every way, even when im being unreasonable, u still give in to me. and thanks for always supporting my decisions and being there for me, esp when im most down.. thanks bro.. u are the best.

my band friends: people whom shared my tears and joy in sec school, which is why we are still so close and united after leaving band for so long.. nothing will take those memories away when we trained so hard juz for a 10 min performace or compeition. memories are sweet.

lifeworks: my dear brothers & sisters tat i grew up with.. u people are my inspiration.. though there are unhappiness before, but God's love covers all..

joel: my lil brother in christ.. this boy here is young in age, but mature in his thinking and in his faith in God. he keeps me in check and makes me understand what God meant by not letting others look down on you juz because u are young.. this bro supports me when no one will.. letting me feel so loved and cared for in one of my most down times. thanks lil bro..

sharon: my partner in christ.. gal, i love you.. i know how much u have put in for the church, and sometimes u feel tired and weary, but keep your focus on God, and u will find everything worthwhile..

my cell gp in perth: u people are simply the best.. this is one of the crappiest and lamest cell tat ive even been in, cracking silly jokes all the time, and yet can be so serious when we are praying and sharing our lives with one another. going out for "cell outings" or simply studying together makes us close in such a short time we actually know each other.. God is good, isnt He.. I'll miss u guys so so much when i grad.

joey poey: this sister keeps my spiritual life in check. when i see her, i see the fruits of the spirit. this lovely lady here is a great woman of God, portraying every way the likeness of Jesus..

Cell Bonding cum Gabs surprise bdae party

so many things are happening at the same time, i wanna blog abt every single event but cant find the time to do it at all.. the most significant event is last thursday when we had our cell bonding.. cell decided on having a PJ party and surprising our dear Gabs by celebrating his bdae at the same time.. at first we wanna go to his place and scare him by acting as ghosts and then "kidnap" him to the big field outside my place, but us being kind souls (hee hee) din do it when we found out he is sick.. boo boo.. but anyhow we still had a great time.. had KFC for dinner, this is not a normal dinner i tell u.. Mr Cornys aka gabriel corn & corn kah hon crack all of us up by telling stupid jokes making the funniest remarks thru out the whole nite, that i laugh so much and had gastric.. hahaa... after din, we made Gabs change into a pink pj tat the cell bought for him.. then we proceed to play charade.. charade is good, and the winner team get to draw on the faces of the losers.. hee hee.. we then played "MAFIA" while everyone's eyes were still closed, we brought out the birthday cake.. that gabs was so surprise, i wish i could capture tat look on video.. hoooo.. then thinking the excitment is not enough, we watched "The Ring" juz to scare ourselves.. before we call it a nite, we push ourselves to the limit and tell each other "ghost" stories.. heee
its all great fun.. had an amazing time...

Search For a Star is officially over now.. in a way, im glad for the break.. but im also sad that everything is over and i will not have another choir practice anytime soon.. im really glad for the many friends that i've made in choir.. and the things that i've learnt during all the practices and rehearsals. it will definately be an experience that i will not forget..
the turn out is pretty good for the event, and im glad bran, jill & wris came.. hope everyone enjoyed themselves becoz i certainly did..

after the event, our ever united cell went out for supper at Fast-Eddy, Hungry Jacks & then to this kerbab place.. and then proceed to our usual photo-taking session in the cold wind.. hehe.. everything is going so well.. i'm happy. (",)

last sunday, Pastor talk abt Coke's slogan "to put a Coke in the hand of Every Man".. why is it that Coke is not afraid of their competitors? why is it that Coke doesnt have campaigns like other companies to bring down or beat their compeition? the only reason is becoz they believe that they have "THE REAL THING". they dun need to be afraid becoz what they have is so good, the only thing they need to work hard at is to let everyone know abt their product and it will sell, becoz The Real Thing will be so good, it will beat the rest utimately..

40 Hour Famine

been wanting to blog abt this since last week, but was too busy, rushing this globalisation essay, which i finally finish and hand in yesterday.. whoppiieeee..

anyway, i did this 40 hour famine campaign and fasted on the 26th Aug weekend from fri - sun, then i break fast at KFC.. fried chicken taste goody.. haha..

40 Hour Famine is organised by the World Vision.. and is participated by many churches and individuals all over the world.. This year, the money raised is going to support World Vision’s work in Mozambique and Tanzania in Africa to help families grow more food. Every $40 raised in the Famine will help feed 6 hungry kids for a month. I've raised $105 in total.. so i can feed 6 kids for almost 3mths.. yay..

a very big thank you on behalf of these children to you guys who donated.. namely, brandon, jill, agnes, peiling, jon, kahhon, rina, nona, julian, gabs, wriston and eyvon. the children and me are very blessed by your actions.. I'm soooo happy.

I juz passed my 24th bdae last thursday.. its one of the most memorable bdae i ever had.. had a long day in school, rushing projects and had a presentation.. only to reach home to see penny, eyvon, na and wriston prepared a wonderful dinner for me.. thanks so much guys for cooking.. the food is super delicious.. and then gotta rushed for cell gp.. cell as usual is great and juz when i thought we can go out for some supper and drinks together after that.. i realised that they did a pot luck and everyone brought food.. and when i say food, i dun mean juz chips and crackers.. but real food.. i'm so touched guys, that all of you took so much effort to prepare so much food for me.. i also had my favourite strawberry cheesecake too.. gosh.. u all are soooo sweet.. tats not all.. the next day, i went out with the gang, namely, bran, jill, colin, felix, agnes, kelvin, wriston and na to Ciao Italia for dinner and superb desserts.. thanks everyone for the dinner, its simply awesome.. and after dinner, we head down to Hits Studio for some KTV session.. had so much fun...

Awesome Worship

was back in perth since monday nite.. been feeling slightly down for the past few days coz i miss spore so much.. my family, my church, the friends, the food and dennis.. but since i came back, i was looking at God face to face.. went for power prayer thingy on wed nite, which is juz awesome, then had a great cell gp meeting on thursday nite.. the cell ppl are pretty much the same, with a few additions.. after cell, we had crepes!!! yummy, simply delicious!! as if eating tat is not enough, we decide to go to McDonalds for a second helping.. and even though i'm stuffed to my neck, i still shared a large meal with rina.. my gosh!! toking abt peer pressure.. but EVERYONE is eating.. haha.. we then went to watch a simply splendid movie at Gabs house.. "Hide-&-Seek" ...at first everyone is very scared, coz rina told us its a horror movie.. but then when we watch the show till the end, we realise that the show have a very very interesting ending, that no one will ever think of.. its good.. go watch it ppl.. a very good end to our cell bonding session man.. haha..

and then the best is yet to come.. we had an awesome worship in church today, its freshies welcome so we had performance, and videos.. was laughing my head off the whole time.. Pastor Patrick is funneeee.. and we sang a few new songs today!! I was glad for church today.. it certainly liften up my spirits a lot..

A very big CONGRATULATIONS to Dennis for completing his 10 months of cadet life in OCS..
As of today 24 July 2005, dennis is officially the 2nd Lieutenant of the Singapore Armed Forces.. no more bird-killing, no more starvation, no more jungle-trekking, no more SBO.. and for me, no more fetching him from Safti.. mahahahaaa... but of cos everything is for the country!! World Peace!!

the commissioning parade started with all the cadets marching out, then they started singing all the "love singapore" songs in english, mandarin and malay.. after that is a lot of proceedures that i also can't be borthered to rem.. then came the time when family and friends can go down to the parade square to help the cadets pin on their ranks.. everybody started rushing down like mad cows.. haha.. after that they sang some more songs and then thats it... they graduated!! woo wweee... the sight when they started throwing their caps into the sky looked very exciting and touching as they rushed together to hug one another, patting on each others' shoulders.. so touching..

Did somebody mention smthing abt not wishing for smthing so hard, becoz it might juz happen?? since last semester, i've been thinking how nice it will be if theres no fence blocking my house along Prescott Drive, so i dun have to cross two big fields to get to my place, when its juz by the road side.. well, apparently my wish came true..
last nite, whilst its raining not only cats and dogs, but elephants and rhinos (and hailstones), my fence collapse.. i woke up in the morning getting ready for church, went to my window, draw my blinds and had the shock of my life.. my window is totally facing the field and i can see the football match up close and the road is juz by the side.. i felt so "naked" as if everyone can see everything in my room, coz my window is those full length kind and can see my whole room from the outside..

gosh.. i went to church this morning amazed.. i tell God.. U are Good..

Alcohol is no good

Now is 7am in the morning, and i'm wide awake.. had steamboat again yesterday in the cold, rainy winter evening.. the food's sooo good.. but now i'm feeling fat once again, esp now that my gym membership had expire, i cannot go jogging.. Brandon say i gotta buy my clothes one size larger now that i've stop running.. booo hooo.. is he right?? NO.. i cannot let that happen man.. but i'm not too sure abt that, after the pigging out session yesterday, how many pigging out session did i have just this week alone.. =( after the steamboat, a friend decided to teach a new card game, which i have absolutely no idea how it goes, and end up losing almost all the games, and meanie ppl make me drink wine when i lose.. i haven't had so much alcohol in my body since the last Batam company trip last year.. and man, did i regret drinking.. my whole face is red, and i know any major movement will make me throw up... rina threw me off her bed last nite coz i din bathe before i get on her bed and then, i end up on her floor not moving and sitting there, till i gather the last bit of energy to go back to my room to sleep.. boo booo.. and i simply dun understand why i woke up at 7am in the morning.. hmmm.. hehe.. maybe becoz i think i gotta wash my bedsheet =p anyways, too much alcohol is not good for the body.. hahaa

Now is 6.30pm and i juz woke up like one hour ago. I was rolling in my bed and finally decide to wake up for breakfast or maybe a brunch. I reached for my handphone and look at the time.. 5.30pm!!!!!! i can even have dinner now... I slept the whole day away.. I'm such a pig.. and now i gotta find some food to eat and get ready to go to work soon.. bummer.. =(

yesterday, i had 2 tests *crossing my fingers i can pass all*... after the tests, i went to buy bubble tea for my "Angel", then went to Joey's place for our cell steamboat.. had a good time of fellowship and sharing.. after that we revealed our Angels, which i'm absolutely right is Gabriel!!! haha... thanks Gabs..

after cell, me and rina went to Utopia for our second KTV session for this semester.. when we enter the room, we had a shock at the amt of snacks tat are in the room. juz 6 of us, and there are snacks enough to feed an army.. so its "Pig-ing" out session cum singing session.. felt so fat after everything.. hahaa.. but everything is good.. felt contented.. hahaa..

enough play for this semester.. I shall start my official "mugging" for my exams from this sat!!
and then its back to Singapore my homeland.. haha.. wwooohoooo... i cant wait.. i miss dennis.. and of cos you guys back in spore =p

Rock Climbing

I'm been wanting to blog abt my rock climbing experience since last week.. but have been extremely lazy abt it.. hee.. anywaysss.. i went rock climbing at this indoor place called Rock Face last fri.. overall its a very fun experience.. except that it din start off tat way.. at first i was thinking, it shouldn't be too hard, since i've been exercising so my stamina is not too bad.. but then lil have i prepared myself when i walk into a room full of high and intimidating walls.. my knees immediately grew weak, and my legs felt rubbery.. i'm thinking, "darn, these walls are high!!" Friends who know me well enough will know tat i'm extremely afraid of heights, i cant even climb a ladder without trembling.. but all things said, since i'm there might as well go for it.. i'm not gonna pay 15 bucks for nothing.. my first try is on this number 6 wall.. which is suppose to be the easiest.. biting my lips, with wriston belaying me, i took my first step and the whole time felt as if my heart is going to jump out from my already trembling in-shock body. After just 2 steps, i turn around and look down.. and i SCREAM!!! and i hear lotsa "dun look back, keep going" in the background.. i brace myself, and took a few more steps.. i stop just as i was a few stones to the top.. and scream to wriston to let me down... coming down is very easy.. juz close my eyes and be let down.. hehe..

after tat first wall, i decided to give myself another chance.. to my surprise, it gets easier with every wall i tried.. not in terms on the climbing, but in terms of conquering my fear of heights.. to my amazement, i completed a few walls.. reaching to the top *clap clap* heheeee... We are abt to leave when Felix got me to try this number 13 wall.. gosh is it hard.. by then i was at it for abt 3 hours, and my arms are growing weak, and not to mention the stones are so far apart, i gotta use every ounce of my remaning strength to pull myself up.. in the end i only got to 3 quarter of the wall, couldnt complete it, but all is good, at least i try.. Felix refused to let me down, urging me to go on and on, but then at that time, my hands are trembling, this time not from the height but becoz i got absolutely no strength to pull myself up at all.. so in the end he got no choice but to let me down... up to that last wall, i can actually look down at Felix and talk to him, while hes teaching me the technique of going up, and all these time, i'm looking down and not feeling frightened at the height i'm at.. woo hooo... thanks guys.. i wanna thanx Felix, Jill, Avrian and Wriston for being so encouraging and patient while they are belaying me!! love you guys *muacks*

YA combine cell

I went for the young adults combine cell yesterday.. its a totally different experience compared to the passion cell that i'm attending now which consists of students from Murdoch.. first of all, the YA cell ppl are much older, which also means they are generally more mature and demure.. hehe.. the cell went really well.. played an ice breaker game which makes us sound like animals.. and i'm in the PIG group.. "oink oink"... have a powerful sermon on 'Stewardship vs Ownership'. When we are handling money, are we behaving like stewards or owners?? leave u guys to ponder for a while..

ooooh.. talking abt cell gp, we are not having a normal cell as usual, Murdoch is having a combine cell too this week.. but i not going, coz fri suppose to go rock climbing.. hehe..
which also means that i won't be able to pass something to my mortal.. we are playing an "Angel & Mortal" game since a mth ago.. and my "Angel" is soooo sweet, gave me chocolates, sweets & bubble tea.. yummmy... and Angel, if you are reading this.. thanks sooooo much.. though i cannot be very sure who u are ( i got a rough idea =p) but i wanna thank you for being such a sweet and attentive Angel.. looking forward to our steamboat next week ppl.. where all the Angels will be revealed.. My dear housemate, Erina is on a NO carbs diet since 2 days ago.. whatever gives her this motivation, i dun know.. but then i decided in order not to look like a big fat pig besides her, I'm going on a LOW carb diet.. hehe.. no carb is a lil impossible for me.. maahahahaa.. but then i juz read in Felix's blog tat low carb diet doesn't work.. then how??? hmmmm....

oh well... at least for this 1 month before i go back to spore, i gotta try my best to lose 2kg... i know i know.. u are all saying, "Dream On" but give me some credit.. i've been running my 4km every other day now.. before my gym membership expire.. heeee..

I'm dead tired

Aaaaahhhhhh!!!!!! I'm soooooo tired..
i think i haven't sleep for more than 10 hours for the past 6 days...
first it is rushing my essay due last friday, so me and rina stayed up the whole thurs nite to finish it (after coming back from cell at 11pm)... then it is rushing thru a tramatizing experience of having no labs to print the essay, running here and there, trying to find a place tat i can print, shall not elaborate more on this, its simply crazy, and only drop it into the "assignment box" at 12pm SHARP.. after tat, i rushed to work.. after finish work, gotta rush back to change and then out for dinner and KTV... KTV was great, screaming our lungs out.. and only reach home at 4am.. when i finally sleep, its 5am.. and guess what.. i woke up at 7am becoz of an infection tat cause me tremedous pain.. so i cried from 7am-9am, then woke rina up who then finally took me to the clinic at 1030am (thnx na, i know how tired u are, but u still wake up to comfort me... *muacks*).. the pain was simply unbearable.. but i still go to work on sat nite.. and only reach home at 2am, and Avrian came over and chat till 7am.. "gosh" slept for 1 hour, then gotta go church.. after a "sleepy" church service, went to Freo for lunch, coffee and marketing.. thinking i can catch some sleep before i go work.. i end up playing mahjong till the very last min tat i can get to work on time.. and when i reach home at 1am, they are STILL playing mahjong.. good going ppl.. haha...

so here i am, bathe and clean and very tired from working for the past 3 days, staying up till 5am everyday for the past 1 week to do essay and celebrating the completion of my essay.. i'm officially DEAD... i'm so very dead man.. and i know.. u all must be wondering y i'm still online now writing this blog and not go to sleep... tats becoz my hair is too wet.. heheheeee...

I have a 2,500 words essay to hand in this friday on PR ethics.. and after i handed that in, i only left 2 more tests and 2 more exams then its time to head back to lion city!! woohooo.. tats exciting man.. but in the meantime, i'm still struggling, reading thru more newspapers articles in 2 nights than i ever did in 2 years.. mahahahaaa.. well, at least i read.. i come across an interesting PR joke in a book called, Public Relations: A matter of spin by N E Renton.. now pondering if i should put tat in my essay.. well, enjoy..

A mathematician, an accountant and a public relations officer all applied for the same job with a large company.
The interviewer called in the mathematician first and asked, "What does two plus two equal?"
The mathematician replied, "Four."
The interviewer asked, "Four, exactly?"

Why do old people have so many problems.. poor vision, weak knees, no appetite, diabetes.. haiz.. my granny went to the hospital for the 2nd time this year.. I'm really sad that I have to be away when both my grannies were at their lowest.. My faternal granny pass away juz after I came back to Perth this Feb.. and my maternal granny fell sick so many times this year.. she had diabetes, so cannot take sweet stuff, and becoz she din take any sweet stuff, it results in her glucose level too low, which makes her faintish and trembling all the time.. which is also the reason she landed in the hospital yesterday.. when mummy was telling me abt her juz now, i'm fighting the urge to cry.. this granny which i'm very close to since young is slowly drifting away.. having blur vision, no strength, can't walk properly.. haiz.. =( why do nice ppl have to go thru these??

"I pray that God you will bless her and take away her pain.. I also pray that the healing hand of the Lord will be upon her, healing her completely.. and most important of all, I pray that God U will remember her in your salvation plans.. Amen.. "

I can officially make burgers.. hehee.. i din know making burgers are this fun... i don't mind if they put me in the kitchen once in a while now.. its quite interesting watching the meat getting cook.. haha.. sometimes its better than facing unreasonable customers.. but well.. every section got their own problems. rina told me i will get oily and pimples-infested face if i choose to work in the kitchen.. juz like last week, when i did the washing up on fri and sat.. i thought washing up is quite good, becoz i get to stay at the back and juz use the big hose and wash the cooking utensils.. but on sunday, i noticed such bad rash on my hands becoz i'm allegic to the detergent they use at Maccas. haiz... my poor hands are disgusting and itcy even until now.. bleah...

Begin the day really early today.. woke up at an unearthly time at 6am, and did a 730am shift at McDonalds. After 5 hours of hashbrown making and serving weird customers, i rushed home to bathe and then to the city to meet up with Grace.. we sat down for nice smoothies and chat and then proceed on to do what tourist usually do.. TAKING PHOTOGRAPAHS.. after a few hours of walking in the cool breeze and enjoying the scenery, Aunty Doris came to pick us up to her place. She have a super cute beagle, i will post up his pix later.. had a besty dinner at this Italian place where we had pasta, pizza and chilli mussels.. yummmy..
i reach home abt 9pm.. and juz as i thought my day had ended.. my household decided to meet Nick, Liyi and Ray at this resturant call Cocos for desserts and coffee.. so before i can even take my shoes off, we went off for passionfruit cheesecake, some strawberry white chocolate thingy and some dome shaped chocolate stuff, which i seriously cannot rem what its called.. but only that they all taste heavenly.. heeee... and you think i still haven't had a sugar overload, i ordered myself a cup of vienna.. yummmmy.. what a "full"-filling day man...

Irritating Brids

Come on peeps, tell me whats wrong with the birds in Perth?
why can't they just leave me alone? when I was on my way to school just now, i had to cross the big field opposite my house and theres this big bird blocking my way. I seriously dunno whats their problem. sometimes they will fly so low, so they will be just besides your ear, trying to scare the hell out of you.. or they will be like today, blocking your way so you cant walk. its the same wherever i go, eating lunch at Freo, walking at bush court, they are just there everywhere.. dun they know how disgusting and irritating they are.. dun they know that they are not welcome? dun they know that i HATE them.. their gross feathers always in my face, making my goose bumps stand.. brrrrrrr... uuurrrggg... and they dun action alone.. as the saying goes, "Birds of a feathers flock together", they attacked in groups!!! not only to humans they do that, they did the same thing to Ah Brown, teasing him all the time..

oh gosh.. i wonder why they exist man.. they shld all be shot down.. disappear.. go away....
shoooo shoooo shooooo.... like the birds in spore, fly away when you see people coming.. go back to the sky, or rather the top of the trees, where u belong.. GO...

the only birds i think i will like is penguin... and you know why, becoz they dun have disgusting, gross feathers, and they dun appear in front of me suddenly!!!!!

Exams timetable is out

exams timetable is out today.. i have 2 papers. one on the 13th and the other one on the 18th.. was quite disappointed when i saw that. am really hoping that i can make it for Grace & Daniel's wedding.. =( buy 4 D also not so accurate. their wedding is on the 18th, and i have this freaking paper on the exact same day. even if i catch the earliest flight after my paper, i will still miss it..somemore i already bought the dress and accessories that i wanna wear to the wedding... booooo hooooo.... sorry Grace, sorry Daniel.. i give you guys my best wishes..

ok, and since i couldn't make it for the wedding, i decide to come back later, will spend some time relaxing here and do some shopping. most probably will come back on the 23rd June.. (thursday).. u guys in spore, see ya soon...

Rina bought her first car today! we woke up at an unearthly time waiting for the phone call from Brandon to go to Canning Vale market. but that lazy pig decides to sleep in =p
oh well... its better anyway, coz sleeping at 4am the day before is not helping. we then went to look at the first car of today's search.. a red Daihatsu Charade.. then to the second car at Rockingham.. its a long drive there, and without even test driving the car, Felix looks at the car disgustingly and decides tat its trash.. we then proceed on the long drive back again. but all is good, as Rina has already set her mind on the CHARADE!! haha.. we then went back to the same house, and without much bargaining, Rina is now the proud owner of her first car.
Congrats gal, well done.
being excited and all, the gang decided to teach rina how to wash a car.. and everyone drove down to SV for free water and electricity.. =p everything suppose to go very well, until Su Fei Li and Colin Baxter decide to drench me with water on this cold, drizzling evening.. aarrrgggg!!

Raffles Ball

Raffles Ball, a grand event organized by TSL (The Singapore Link). Even though i didn't go for this event, i found myself being caught up by the excitement and enthusiasm of my friends who are going. Task of the day: dress Jill up as pretty as possible. After lunch and our weekly dosage of bubble tea, Rina, Jill and me set off for Garden City, the only decent shopping mall in this area. We went thru rows and rows of cosmetics looking for the best stuff for our princess of the day.. and managed to buy quite a few pretty things. I bought a bikini for myself too. =p
The shopping took quite a long time and like 3 mad women, we rushed home in the rain. When Jill is finally dressed and is at the last touching up, Felix and Brandon arrived at our doorsteps in suits and ties, appearing nervous and excited.. I cant help but feel tat they are coming to receive the bride ; )
and there they go, hand in hand, looking all pretty and handsome.. only me, their chauffeur, is shabbily dressed and unkempt, but oh well..... heee.. left the gang at the Hilton Hotel, and rushed home for cell gp.. Cell is great as usual. Arriving back at the Hilton at 3am in the morning, only to find my once sober friends high & 'drunk', they all claimed they are not.. but i think Brandon is, coz hes muttering rubbish the whole trip back home..
